Stella Platskou has studied Greek and English Language and Literature at the Department of English Studies, School of Philosophy, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (B.A), and holds a Master of Arts in Literature – Drama from the School of Comparative Studies of the University of Essex in U.K. She has attended a Postgraduate Seminar in Theatre Studies at the Department of Philology, School of Philosophy, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and was awarded a PhD in Theatre Studies from the above school in 2001. She holds a Diploma in Counselling and Guidance from ASPAITE (School of Pedagogy and Technology Education) and a Diploma in Teaching Greek as a Second or Foreign Language from the Centre for the Greek Language .
As a teacher of English she has worked in both the private and public sectors of primary and secondary education as well as adult education. As an Education Counsellor and Teacher Trainer (2012-2018) she cooperated with the Research Centre for English Language of the University of Athens (RCEL) as well as the Institute of Educational Policy (IEP).
She has also worked as a Theatre teacher in Tertiary Education, at an Actors' School and at the Department of Pre-primary Education of the Athens TEI (Higher Technological Institute, 2006-2012).
She became a member of the Department of Performance and Digital Arts stuff in October 2021.
Her research interests include 20th c. European Theatre as well as Applied Theatre and Expressive Arts Therapy. |
